Creative Director
Born in the USSR and trained in the French cutting tradition, Matthew spent the 1990s studying under master stylist Bruno Pittini on Madison Avenue, working alongside fashion icons before bringing his art to Brooklyn.
Today, La Boom is the expression of that lifetime of experience. Step inside and you will find exposed wood ceilings, copper fixtures, baroque mirrors, the warm glow of Edison bulbs, and the calming scent of incense - a space that is equal parts atelier, sanctuary, and living room.

The Experience
Edison bulbs in copper cage fixtures cast warm amber light across raw plaster walls. Never clinical, always inviting.
Ornate gilded mirrors reflect an eclectic world of disco balls, coral beads, evil eye charms, and fresh flowers.
Precision hair sculpting learned on Madison Avenue. A method that creates volume, movement, and lasting shape.
Calming incense, tranquil Latin melodies, a copper mortar and pestle. Every visit is a ritual, not a routine.
